Privacy and GDPR Statement

The following statement sets out the measures and privacy practices that are in place to ensure our compliance with GDPR legislation introduced in 2018. It applies to any data or information gathered through this website and other methods of communication used to connect with Emma Ward’s Words, including email, online contact forms, telephone, social media and in person.

Any personal information that is submitted and collected remains the sole property of Emma Ward’s Words. We will never sell, share or forward this data to third parties without your express permission. We will only use your contact information for our securely stored records (which will remain password protected) or to contact you with regards to your enquiry or ongoing project.

We do not currently carry out any promotional or marketing activities requiring a mailing list. However, if we do so in the future, we will contact you in advance to obtain your permission in writing to include your data.

If you wish to discuss the data we hold on you, we invite you to contact us via phone or email. Please give us 7 days to retrieve all relevant data and supply it to you.

All data is securely stored using password protection. If you enter into a contractual agreement for us to carry out work on your behalf, we may need to ask you for further information to help us complete the project. This will not normally involve any personal data, though it may include your home address if your business operates from that location or you choose to provide this to us.

Further to the above, we will hold the information you provide via phone, email, website or other correspondence on our secure local servers and/or offline. From time to time, we may need to transfer data to third-party secure Cloud storage utilities, such as Google Drive or iCloud, to facilitate your project and carry out related admin.

Once you click on any external links contained within the Emma Ward’s Words website and leave our website, please note that we cannot control any other organisation’s privacy or GDPR policies. We therefore cannot be held responsible for the protection of any data you choose to share with any other websites or communications channels that do not belong to Emma Ward’s Words.
